PHNOM PENH, Feb. 8 (Xinhua) -- Two Chinese men were killed and one another seriously injured in a road accident in northern Cambodia's Kampong Chhnang province late Sunday afternoon, a local police chief confirmed Monday.

The crash took place when they stopped their car on the road side and got off it to wait for another group of their friends, said Chhim Sarun, traffic police chief of Kampong Chhnang province. 

"Accidentally, a speeding truck overtook another car and crashed into the trio standing nearby their car, leaving one man dead immediately and two seriously injured; later, one was pronounced dead in the provincial hospital,"he told Xinhua over telephone. "The truck driver escaped the scene after the crash."

The trio were the skilled workers at the site of the China-funded Achang irrigation system in the province, he said, adding that the two dead men were identified as Zhu Thaiquan, 46, and Huang Ke Jan, 38. Enditem
