It's almost a self-fulfilling prophecy for America. In the world, America feels very insecure about itself and needs to lay down the law on certain nations in the world that are considered to be a threat to its interests. This attitude will always steer America into confrontations. America goes to war every decade or so. It must continue to make war in order to stay strong.
I hate to sound like a warmonger but we can bet ourselves that the next war will be between China and America. The situation seem to be heading that direction. Currently, America is stirring up hate sentiment toward China in the Asia-Pacific region. America is presenting itself as a good guy who needs to protect those smaller nations in the region against big bad China. China is being labelled as a bully of Asia who need a good beatdown.
America hadn't gone to war in a very long time with an enemy as powerful like China. The last worthy enemies were Japan and Germany. If it hadn't been the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the war might have ended differently.
The next war will have a devestating effect on both sides. America and China have nuclear weapons. MAD (Mutual Assure Destruction) will guarantee devestation on both sides. Can America handle big punches thrown by China? China certainly has been preparing itself to take big hits from America. We can bet that allies of America in the region will be China's enemies. China will reserve very little mercy for them if and when there is war between the big giants.
In all, we hope America and China will not be foolish enough to nuke it out to see who rule the world. We hope they use their diplomacy to good extreme. Let's hope 2012 and beyond is not doom and gloom. Let' hope it's the beginning of the new phase of positivity for humanity.

That would be world war3.who got beaten? small country like cambodia would get bomb to stone age againt.
Don't forget any allies of America. They might also be nuked. Those others countries will become part of China. I see Vietnam is one of them.
dream on, friends. American and it's allies combine can kick some ass. France, UK, Australia, Israel, U.S; all have nuke. How many countries in the world would like to live under China's rule? very few countries....
Definitely, Cambodia want to become part of China....look at how the CPP is getting all the stuffs from China,.....

Since we're talking about the possible of WW3, here are some possibilities. Don't think China is a lonewolf. Russia is China's allies. Russia will sure be involved in this fight as well. Russia can deal with the American allies in Europe. Isreal has no friend in the Middle East. Since Isreal is America's brat anyway, Isreal enemies would surely love to kick the crab out of it. China can deal with American and its allies in Asia headon.
The possibility that China and America will fight each other head on is zero because it would mean the total destruction of the world as other nuclear powers will get involved as well. There might be a proxy war, with the big powers using smaller nations to fight each other on their behalf.
China got iran, pakistan, russia, north korea, and maybe cambodia? While america got almost the european country, most of southeast asian countries including the communist vietnam, east asia japan and south korea. America also got australia, and india. If there ever a war to break out between china and america, it will be another world war. A small country such as cambodia might be safe from destruction not unless china use cambodia to counter other southeast asian countries but I can't see that will ever happen since hun sen is viet's dog
War between china and america will most likely be as of that thailand and cambodia border clashes, a few small rounds of exchanges and back to the diplomacy table for talks.
WW III? Come on, don't be naive. No one is crazy enough to using nuclear bombs. If anything, it would be a few rounds of naval bombardment. However, chance of that happened is slim to none.
Cooler head and sake of humanity prevailed. The chances of more terrorist attacks are much more prominent than a WW III outbreak. That is my opinion.

China has around 200 Nukes and America has ONLY 8500 Nukes, peace is on the way.
If China is weak, then why is America so concern. It coud easily wipeout China right? It has very little to do with the number of nuclear arsenal any one nation has. It doens't take 200 or 8500(?)to annihilate each other. Just 1 or 2 termal nuclear blast in New York or Beijing, those cities would be burn to crisp, afterward they're scramble to negotiating table. Does Yankees and Chinks really want to do this? I doubt it.
